Job Summary:

The Mammography Tech is responsible for performing diagnostic mammography procedures to assist in the detection and diagnosis of breast-related conditions. This role involves working independently to deliver high-quality imaging services in a specialized healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform all types of mammography exams, including stereotactic biopsy, needle localization, and ductograms.
  
  
• 
  Ensure proper positioning, technique, and image quality according to protocol.
  
  
• 
  Maintain competency in stereotactic biopsy and quality control related to mammography.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to patient safety standards and radiation protection guidelines.
  
  
• 
  Work autonomously in areas requiring minimal supervision.
  
  
• 
  Document and communicate findings accurately as per department procedures.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Require a minimum of 2 years of recent mammography experience.
  
  
• 
  Hold current AHA BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Credentialed as AART in mammography.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in stereotactic biopsy and mammography QC.
  
  
• 
  Possess the ability to perform all types of mammography studies independently.
  
  
• 
  Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
