Position Overview:

The IT Help Desk Project Manager supports OCHIN's mission by driving the successful scoping and execution of projects, such as Epic implementations and enhancements, third-party vendor implementations, and internal initiatives, to ensure successful execution and resource management across cross-functional teams. This role involves creating and executing project plans, consulting senior leadership, fostering collaboration across the organization, gathering and analyzing data for potential integrations, and supporting the efficient delivery of integrated products and services. Additionally, the role balances competing priorities, navigates technical and business constraints, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to solve complex challenges.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through completion, aligning timelines, priorities, and outcomes to organizational goals.
  • Manage resources and workload effectively by balancing competing priorities and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project milestones.
  • Facilitate clear and impactful communication by tailoring messages to diverse audiences, facilitating alignment, providing project updates, and guiding stakeholders through project risks and decisions.
  • Collaborate across members, teams and vendors to resolve challenges proactively, foster mutual accountability, and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities for improvement by optimizing processes, promoting best practices, and driving continuous improvement across teams, projects, and solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred plus:
  • Minimum of 5- years of experience in IT project management, technical solution with health care operations and improvements in a hospital setting or healthcare IT.
  • A minimum of minimum of 2,000+ hours leading and managing projects is REQUIRED
  • Experiencing Managing a minimum of 15 - 20 project concurrently ; overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and resources across multiple business units.
  • - Produced executive dashboards and detailed status reports for leadership visibility.
  • - Identified delivery bottlenecks and implemented corrective actions to improve outcomes.
  • Experience with EHR front end workflows, billing, rev cycle, process improvements, interoperability and training highly desired
  • Certified ScrumMaster CSM preferred
  • PMP required
  • Proven success in internal and external communication and relationship management with all levels from administrative to executive
  • Epic certification or healthcare -related credentials (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) are a plus but not required. (Candidates with Epic experience will be given priority)
  • Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50-60-minute competency assessment. The assessment gives us insights into how your strengths, preferences, and work style align with th e OCHIN's nine core competencies. It's not about passing or failing-it's about understanding fit and setting you up for success.

Base Pay Overview

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations/teaching. Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action.
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings .
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices.
  • Travel that is required to support OCHIN's business requirements for go-live installations or training may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

Work from home requirements are:

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office environment
  • High Speed Internet Service
  • It is a requirement that employees work in a distraction free workplace
  • (OR) minimal travel could be required nationally based on business requirements for OCHIN
