Sr. Social Media Manager - D&D (Contract) Renton, Washington, United States

Renton, Washington, United States Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast are seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to lead social strategy for Dungeons & Dragons. This is a 1-year contract role for a social media expert who blends strategy and execution to drive an engaging, platform-native presence across channels. You will monitor platform trends and algorithmic shifts, translating data into actionable strategy. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Creative, and Franchise teams to develop and maintain a best-in-class social strategy and an editorial calendar that balances franchise moments, product launches, and real-time opportunities. This role is hybrid, working three days a week in Renton, WA. What You\'ll Do: Own and deliver D&D’s overarching social media strategy with platform-specific approaches for Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Facebook, and others to maximize reach, engagement, and brand relevance. Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best-in-class brand behavior; engage with brands, creators, and community voices to keep D&D culturally relevant. Build and manage an analytics framework: define metrics, track performance, communicate insights to collaborators, and pivot strategy in real time. Foster a test-and-learn culture by designing channel and content experiments, measuring outcomes, and scaling what works. Partner with Product, Marketing, Creative, and Franchise teams to influence content development and ensure alignment with social strategy. Develop and manage an editorial calendar that balances franchise moments, product launches, and real-time opportunities while maintaining a consistent brand voice. What You\'ll Bring: 5–8 years of social media experience, with 2–3 years in a senior or lead role, preferably in gaming, entertainment, or consumer brands. Proven ability to develop sophisticated social strategies and execute them hands-on, from copy drafting to trend activation. Deep knowledge of major social platforms and a curiosity about where social is headed. Strong analytics skills: proficiency with tools (Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Brandwatch, native analytics, etc.), ability to interpret data, and a track record of translating insights into decisions. Excellent communication skills; able to present analytics and campaign results to a broad audience, including senior leadership. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and secure resources for a world-class social strategy. Experience managing brand social accounts that engage authentic fan communities. Nice to Have: Passion for or active experience with Dungeons & Dragons, tabletop RPGs, or related gaming and fantasy communities. Experience on IP-driven or franchise brands with highly engaged fan communities. Familiarity with creator and influencer partnerships as an extension of organic social strategy. Experience with paid social as a complement to organic strategy.
