Facilities Technician II

Job TitleResponsible for the operation and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment to ensure that the facility is able to support all facets of production and production-related operations.Key Job AccountabilitiesFabricate machinery support equipment as needed in support of manufacturing process needs, including welded racking, support bracing and material handling items.Maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility systems such as electrical, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, compressed air, nitrogen, process vacuum and refrigeration. Install electrical conduit and conductors, metal and plastic piping and general hardware, utilizing standard work and continuous improvement tools for efficient manufacturing processes.Lead, perform, and document preventive maintenance on all facility systems and equipment to proactively identify risks and ensure optimal performance of systems and equipment.Collaborate with the equipment support team to ensure effective installation, removal and reconfiguration of facility resources for production equipment to meet manufacturing, industry and customer requirements.Provide direction, assistance, and support to outside contractors conducting facility and equipment repairs, building effective working relationships and ensuring efficient completion of critical tasks.Education/Experience QualificationsAssociate's Degree with 2 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.Depending on site requirements and business needs, completed state-approved Maintenance Technician or Industrial Electrician apprenticeship experience may be required.
