Customer Care Specialist II

Job Overview Cox Automotive – Customer Care Specialist II (Individual Contributor) – Flexible Hybrid (remote part of the week). Location: Cherryville, NC (remote candidates outside the local market may be considered). Compensation: Hourly base pay of $18.17 – $27.31/hour (range based on location and qualifications) with potential additional commission or incentive compensation. Responsibilities Field a high volume of inbound calls. Provide excellent customer service for all inbound and outbound calls. Document and note each customer contact accurately in all required systems. Originate new transactions (preventative maintenance, immediate and scheduled service and repairs) via inbound and outbound calls. Assign service requests to the appropriate market for dispatching. Coordinate towing of customer units when necessary. Schedule outside vendors for emergency breakdowns. Continuously develop and improve company capabilities in dispatching. Maintain professionalism and establish positive customer rapport to encourage repeat business. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree or high school diploma with two (2) years of equivalent experience. At least 2 years’ experience in a call center environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team. Strong multitasking and deadline‑management skills. Excellent problem‑solving abilities. Valid driver’s license. Highly organized with exceptional follow‑through abilities. Core Competencies Strong foundation in customer service skills. Drug Testing Pre‑employment drug testing is required. This position does not include a marijuana test.
