Infection Prevention Specialist Join our team at Avista Nursing and Rehab, a leading healthcare provider in Saginaw, Michigan, and help us deliver exceptional patient care while promoting a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff. As an Infection Prevention Specialist , you will play a critical role in ensuring the prevention and control of infections, promoting a culture of safety, and contributing to the overall quality of patient care. About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Infection Prevention team. As an Infection Prevention Specialist, you will be responsible for: Conducting surveillance and investigations of healthcare-associated infections Developing and implementing infection prevention and control policies and procedures Collaborating with healthcare teams to educate staff on infection prevention practices Providing guidance and support to facility staff on infection prevention and control measures Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection prevention standards Participating in quality improvement initiatives and projects Responsibilities: Develop and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures Conduct environmental rounds and identify areas for improvement Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement infection prevention education programs Monitor and track infection rates and provide data‑driven recommendations for improvement Participate in hospital‑wide quality improvement initiatives and projects Maintain accurate and timely records of infection prevention activities Requirements: Current Michigan State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Certification in Infection Prevention and Control #J-18808-Ljbffr Apploi
