Vice President, Impact Investing - Liberty Mutual Investments

Job Title

The Impact Investing mandate is focused on generating meaningful social impact in three key areas: boosting social mobility, expanding access to essential services, and enhancing resiliency, revitalization, and adaptation.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing comprehensive analysis and developing recommendations on co-investment opportunities.
• Performing comprehensive analysis and developing recommendations on fund investment opportunities.
• Managing impact evaluation and measurement.
• Managing and monitoring current portfolio investments and preparing portfolio progress reports.
• Assisting with overall management of the portfolio.
• Work closely with junior team member, training and teaching at the transaction level.

Qualifications

• An MBA, CFA or equivalent background.
• Strong academic record from a competitive institution.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience (Investment Banking, Private Equity, etc.).
• Analytical and critical thinking – Ability to identify and articulate key investment considerations and risks, with a special interest in impact.
• Good interpersonal & team skills – Comfortable with consensus decision-making and working in a collaborative, team-based environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in order to interact with internal and external investment professionals and executives.
• Strong presentation skills – the ability to articulate an investment recommendation or industry thesis in a concise, organized manner.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and time-sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
• Passion for and understanding of investing and the private equity industry.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
