Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Environmental Services Associate I to join our team in Detroit, United States. In this entry-level position, you will play a vital role in maintaining our facilities while supporting our commitment to environmental sustainability and compliance. The successful candidate will demonstrate efficiency, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

• Perform routine environmental services and facilities maintenance tasks in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to environmental services activities, inspections, and compliance measures
• Assist in waste management, recycling, and sustainability initiatives across all facility areas
• Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance needs and environmental concerns
• Respond promptly to service requests and address issues in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless facility operations
• Adhere to all environmental regulations, company policies, and safety guidelines
• Operate and maintain equipment and tools used in environmental services activities
• Support training and onboarding processes for new team members as needed
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding work progress and any concerns

Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental services practices, sustainability principles, and waste management procedures
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow complex instructions and procedures accurately
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with documentation systems
• Preferred: Previous experience in environmental services, facilities management, or related field
• Preferred: Familiarity with environmental compliance standards and regulations
• Preferred: Experience operating maintenance equipment and tools
• Preferred: Valid driver's license for potential facility-related transportation needs
