Join our team today and start looking forward to coming to work doing something you love!Key Responsibilities:Strategic HR LeadershipDevelop and implement HR strategies aligned with company goals and organizational growthServe as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, org structure, and employee engagementLead the evolution of HR infrastructure including systems, processes, and policiesCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure adherence to federal, state, and local labor laws and cannabis regulationsManage employee files, background checks, and training certifications in line with regulatory requirementsLead internal investigations and disciplinary processes as neededEmployee Relations and CultureFoster a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace cultureMediate employee concerns and maintain an open-door communication modelPromote employee recognition, retention strategies, and team-building initiativesBenefits, Compensation & Payroll SupportOversee administration of benefits programs (health, dental, 401k, PTO, etc.)Support compensation analysis and ensure fair, competitive pay structuresPartner with payroll and finance to ensure accurate, timely processingPerformance Management & TrainingImplement systems for goal setting, feedback, and performance reviewsDesign and deliver leadership development and compliance training programsMonitor KPIs related to retention, employee satisfaction, and organizational healthQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or HR certification preferred)7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience in regulated industries (cannabis, healthcare, pharma, etc.)Strong knowledge of labor law, HR best practices, and HRIS systemsProven ability to lead across departments and influence executive leadershipExcellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skillsExperience building HR functions in growth-stage or multi-site organizations a plusMust be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the cannabis industry under state lawBenefits and Compensation:Pay range of $90,000 - $120,000 annually commensurate with experienceHealth, Dental and Vision insuranceFree Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Earned Sick & Safe Time (ESST)Holiday Pay for anyone working New Years Day, 4/20, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas DayAt Minnesota Cannabis Services, we believe great teams are built on trust, initiative, and follow-through.
