In-House Energy Commercial Contracts Counsel(On-Site - Washington, D.C. | Full-Time)Latitude is seeking an In-House Energy Commercial Contracts Counsel to support a high-volume commercial contracting function for a growing energy company. This attorney will handle a steady flow of commercial agreements and negotiations and must be able to operate with minimal supervision.This role is well-suited for a lawyer who thrives in fast-paced environments and can independently manage large volumes of commercial contracts without extensive training or oversight.Client is seeking a direct/permanent placement hire.Basic Requirements for the In-House Energy Commercial Contracts Counsel:3+ years legal practice experience with a strong focus on commercial contractingMust have direct energy project work experienceDemonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of commercial agreementsPrior in-house experience and/or Big Law commercial transactions experience preferredAbility to manage contracts independently with limited supervisionProgressive responsibility in prior roles (in-house and/or private practice)Experience in infrastructure or other regulated industries is a plus; nuclear experience helpful but not requiredExcellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law schoolExcellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skillsLicensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdictionOutstanding professional referencesPosition Details of the In-House Energy Commercial Contracts Counsel:Type of role: Direct Hire / Permanent PlacementSchedule: Full-timeLocation: On-Site - Washington, D.C.; five days in-office requiredCompensation:Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $200,000 to $250,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).Benefits:Latitude contract professionals are usually W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week. Benefits-eligible Latitude contract professionals receive complimentary Group Life, LTD and AD&D. A qualified 401(k) plan is also available.
