Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Court Administration Assistant to support daily court operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to multitask and interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders including judicial officers, attorneys, law enforcement personnel, and the general public.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and clerical support to court operations and judicial staff
Answer high-volume inquiries via phone, email, and in person while delivering excellent customer service
Explain court/legal filing procedures to the public and other stakeholders
Schedule hearings, appointments, and maintain calendars as needed
Assist attorneys, law enforcement agencies, court staff, and the public with locating case information and related documents
Perform case management and case research functions using internal systems and reports
Prepare, maintain, and update statistical and operational reports
Handle document management tasks including scanning, photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing
Perform accurate data entry and maintain records with strong attention to detail
Support special projects and additional administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
13+ years of administrative, clerical, customer service, or office support experience
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a high-volume environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience handling phone, email, and in-person customer interactions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong data entry and document management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior court, legal, government, or public sector experience
Experience with case management systems or legal documentation
Familiarity with court filing procedures and scheduling processes
Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
