Team Leader

A team leader is someone who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture, and has a service-oriented heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, possess strong character, take initiative, and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Our team leaders are responsible for supporting senior leaders in executing daily operations and holding team members accountable for every component of operational excellence and our service recipe. The two main areas of focus for a team leader are completing tasks to make the restaurant run effectively and training/developing team members. Team leaders lead by example and set the tone for others to follow.

Type of position: Full-time and part-time. Responsibilities of the team leader include participating operationally in daily activities in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant, offering an immediate and respectful response to guest needs, helping in the training of new employees, setting the tone for change, and acting as a role model for our team. Being a friendly and encouraging team player, opening and/or closing, lead changes, keyholder, counting drawers and finalizing day, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications and requirements: smile, create and maintain eye contact, speak with enthusiasm, establish emotional connections with guests, reliable transportation, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong social skills with a desire to serve team members, strong commitment to superior customer service, ability to handle behavioral and performance issues of team members, ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility. Previous experience as a shift leader, team leader, supervisor, team leader, restaurant manager, assistant restaurant manager is not required but preferred.

Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are operated by independent franchise business owners who make all their own employment decisions and are responsible for their own content and policies.
