Role Description The Consumer Loan Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in Amanda, OH. This role is responsible for evaluating and processing consumer loan applications, including personal, auto, and other installment loans, while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with prospective and existing customers, assessing creditworthiness, explaining loan terms and conditions, and recommending appropriate loan products. The Consumer Loan Officer will maintain detailed documentation, monitor loan performance, and collaborate with internal teams to support a positive, efficient lending experience. The role also involves providing attentive customer service, responding to inquiries, and contributing to community outreach activities that promote the bank’s services. Qualifications Experience in roles related to loan officers or similar lending positions, with a solid understanding of consumer lending practices. Knowledge of financial institutions and familiarity with their products and regulatory environment. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial information clearly and build rapport with diverse customers. Hands-on experience with loans, including application processing, credit analysis, and loan documentation. Demonstrated customer service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, professionalism, and problem-solving. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple applications and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency with banking software, loan origination systems, and standard office applications. Lending or credit analysis experience required; associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
