Job Description
Title
Labor & Delivery RN - Labor & Delivery

Schedule
3 x 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (36 hours/week)

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP
- Preferred: AWHONN Advanced or NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced
- Charting system: EPIC required

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages.
- Monitor fetal heart patterns and maternal vital signs using electronic fetal monitoring.
- Assist in vaginal deliveries and C-section support/recovery.
- Perform sterile vaginal exams, non-stress tests (NSTs), and manage postpartum hemorrhage.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy as needed.
- Basic neonatal care including assessment and care of neonates immediately after birth.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Weekend coverage: required
- Floating may be required to antepartum and other units within the organization as needed
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Strict compliance timeline for fingerprinting and credentialing.
- Current staff members of the organization are ineligible for traveler positions.
