Physician Assistant (PA) - Inpatient Internal Medicine

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $73.28 - $89.69 per hour

Location: Queens, NY
Onsite

Position Summary
As a Physician Assistant (PA) within an Inpatient Internal Medicine service, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse hospitalized population. Working collaboratively with physicians and a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will manage acute and chronic conditions, support care coordination, and contribute to positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities

? Schedule / Shift

• Shift details: Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Hours per week: 36-40

? Key Duties:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physicals, and ongoing evaluations
• Develop and implement treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe therapies
• Manage acute and chronic conditions in an inpatient setting, ensuring high-quality care delivery
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate medical records, participate in rounds, and assist with discharge planning and follow-up care

Requirements

? Education

• Required: Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program

? Licenses & Certifications

• Required:
• Current NCCPA certification
• Active, unrestricted New York State Physician Assistant license
• Valid DEA registration

? Skills:

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills in internal medicine
• Excellent communication and patient care coordination abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient environment
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation
