Exciting Opportunity for a Night Shift Nurse in MedSurg and Inpatient Rehab!

Job Description:
- Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse on the MedSurg and Inpatient Rehab Unit!
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including every other weekend.
- Unit Details:
- MedSurg- AC3 with 9 Ortho beds & 13 Inpatient Rehab beds.
- Flexibility to accept IRF patients based on MedSurg census.
- Patient Ratios:
- MedSurg: 1 nurse to 4 patients.
- Inpatient Rehab: 1 nurse to 6 patients.
- Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients:
- Total knees, hips, and shoulders.
- CVAs, encephalopathy, and lumbar fusions.
- Clean medical-surgical patients when needed.
- Required Skills:
- BLS Certification.
- Ortho experience preferred.
- Proficiency in tele, IVs, foley catheters, and dressing changes.
- Support Staff:
- Patient Care Techs (PCTs) assist with ADL care and vital signs.
- Charge Nurse available who also takes patient assignments.
- Equipment:
- RN troubleshooting of RT equipment; RT handles neb tx and CPAP setup.
- Monitoring:
- Telemetry patients with off-site monitoring.
- Basic rhythm course completed by all RNs.
- Orientation & Training:
- Three days of classroom orientation followed by two precepted shifts.
- Dress Code:
- Navy blue scrubs - department does not provide scrubs.
