Duties * Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates for construction projects. * Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. * Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data that may impact costs. * Develop detailed cost breakdowns including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses. * Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam to create precise estimates and reports. * Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing. * Monitor ongoing projects to track costs against estimates and implement cost control measures as needed. * Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Requirements * Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. * Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. * Proficiency in cost control techniques and contract negotiation skills. * Familiarity with construction site operations and safety standards. * Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. * Proficient in using estimating software, particularly Bluebeam or similar tools. * Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accuracy in estimates. * Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
