Preconstruction Manager

Position: Preconstruction Manager/Estimator Location: Macon & McDonough, GA Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 (Based on experience) We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Preconstruction Manager/Estimator to join our team in Macon and McDonough, GA . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing accurate estimates and managing preconstruction activities for a variety of construction projects, ensuring seamless transitions from design to execution. Key Responsibilities: Estimating: Develop comprehensive estimates at various design stages, from Schematic Design to Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to create accurate cost projections. Bid Management: Prepare detailed bid packages for subcontractor pricing. Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor proposals to ensure competitive and precise cost estimates. Preconstruction Oversight: Collaborate with project teams to establish budgets, schedules, and construction methodologies. Recommend value engineering solutions and cost-saving measures. Assess project risks and opportunities to enhance planning efficiency. Qualifications: Proficiency in Procore , Bluebeam , and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Solid understanding of construction principles, processes, and systems. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for accurate cost assessments. Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and project teams. Preferred Experience: Previous experience in preconstruction and estimating roles within commercial or residential construction. Proven ability to produce precise estimates and manage bid documentation for various project types.
