Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist is responsible for directing and delegating all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs design for effective return to community activities. This role requires serving as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and self, while performing professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Complete medical record documentation accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and clinic policies.
• Provide care under valid physician orders and within insurance approval as needed.
• Participate in student programs by providing a positive learning environment with appropriate supervision.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand organizational performance improvement methodologies to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule, and is a long-term role beginning in July 2026.
