Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal/ Legal Case Manager to provide direct litigation and operational support to a Partner of the firm. This is far more than a traditional administrative role it is a critical position that serves as an extension of Partner‑level leadership, ensuring the seamless progression of active litigation matters from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate is highly organised, proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of independently managing competing priorities in a demanding legal environment. Success in this role requires exceptional deadline management, strong legal administrative skills, and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise. Litigation & Case Management Manage and track active litigation matters from case inception through final resolution. Monitor court dockets daily and maintain a comprehensive litigation calendar. Track all deadlines, hearings, depositions, case management conferences (CMCs), motion deadlines, and statutory requirements. Draft, prepare, and coordinate the filing of pleadings, motions, discovery requests, discovery responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents. Coordinate deposition scheduling, service of process, vendor communication, and court‑related logistics. Maintain organized, accurate, and audit‑ready electronic case files. Assist with trial preparation, case organization, and document management. Executive Support Manage the Partner’s Outlook calendar, including hearings, depositions, meetings, and client communications. Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts. Monitor, prioritize, and manage email correspondence and action items. Draft professional communications on behalf of the Partner. Track ongoing tasks and ensure timely follow up on all open items. Collaborate with internal teams including intake, scheduling, and docketing departments. Serve as a professional point of contact for courts, opposing counsel, clients, and third‑party vendors. Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate billing records and assist with time entry reviews. Support fee motion preparation and documentation processes. Ensure all court filing deadlines are met without exception. Proactively identify potential conflicts, risks, or scheduling issues. Maintain compliance with firm documentation standards and legal procedures. Handle all confidential client and litigation information with the highest level of discretion. Proven experience managing litigation deadlines and court calendars. Strong knowledge of litigation support processes and legal documentation. Experience drafting professional legal correspondence and pleadings. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to independently prioritize multiple competing deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience handling confidential legal and client information with discretion. Preferred Experience in Consumer Protection, Lemon Law, Personal Injury, or Civil Litigation. Familiarity with California State and Federal Court e‑filing systems, including CM/ECF and One Legal. Experience using legal case management or docketing software. High volume, deadline driven legal environment. Regular collaboration with attorneys and legal professionals. Performance focused culture with clear expectations and accountability. Occasional overtime may be required to meet critical litigation deadlines. Confidentiality, professionalism, and responsiveness are essential.
