Associate Therapist / AMFT Opportunity – Walnut Creek, CA
Hello and welcome! My name is Rachel Schulz, LMFT, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, clinical supervisor, and co-owner/co-founder of Creekside Counseling in Walnut Creek, California. I work with individuals, couples, families, and adolescents, and while I genuinely love my clinical work, mentoring and teaching are some of my greatest professional passions. I have taught psychology courses as an adjunct college professor since 2017 and began providing clinical supervision in 2025. I especially enjoy helping associates deepen their theoretical orientation, strengthen their clinical skills, develop confidence in case conceptualization, and navigate both the rewarding and challenging moments that foster professional growth. My supervision style is warm, collaborative, supportive, and rooted in curiosity, ongoing learning, and clinical excellence.
Creekside Counseling is located in the beautiful Creekside Oaks office complex, nestled among the trees in Walnut Creek. Our fourth-floor suite includes four therapy offices, a comfortable waiting/group room, and a kitchen, creating a welcoming and professional environment for both clinicians and clients.
I am currently seeking an Associate Therapist (AMFT, APCC, or ASW) who is interested in building their career in a private practice setting. The ideal candidate is available afternoons and evenings and can commit to a minimum of 10 clinical hours per week. A caseload will be built for you, and you are also welcome to bring your own referrals. We provide in-person supervision, furnished office space, a therapy documentation platform subscription, a professional email address, and a Google Meet account. Compensation is competitive and designed to support your growth as a developing clinician.
