Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview The Village at Victory Lakes, Lindenhurst, IL Weekend Differential: $3.00 per hour Sign‑On Bonus (Full‑Time Only): $3,000 Full‑Time and Part‑Time shifts available Position Summary In this role you will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by certified nursing assistants in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and established facility policies. Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities Direct the daily activities of certified nursing assistants and resident care associates in accordance with regulations and policies. Follow the nursing model to promote holistic care for residents. Ensure nursing personnel comply with policies and procedures. Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents as required. Assess changes in residents’ status and notify physicians, families, or representatives, documenting accordingly. Transcribe physician orders to the medical record and carry them out as written. Prepare and administer medications per physician orders and observe for adverse effects. Perform wound treatments, observe changes, and document as indicated. Schedule follow‑up appointments and transportation as needed. Provide nursing leadership to personnel on the unit. Perform direct care skills such as colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, and IV administration in accordance with policies. Perform rounds to ensure resident needs are met and duties performed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to holistically meet residents’ needs. Report incidents or unusual occurrences to community leadership. Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies; notify personnel of needs. Initiate, review, and update care plans as required. Participate in inspection surveys and QAPI activities when assigned. Ensure infection control principles are followed and correct deficiencies. Report allegations of abuse, neglect, misappropriation, exploitation, or mistreatment to supervisor or administrator. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and updates. Position Requirements Education: Nursing degree from an accredited college or university. Licenses/Certifications: Current unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license in the practicing state. Experience: 1+ years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics. Skills & Abilities: Demonstrate compassion when working with residents.
