QA Automation Engineer

To establish and lead the automated testing practice, the full-time remote QA Automation Engineer will own the QA strategy, build automated test suites, and integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline while mentoring engineers on testability. Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end QA strategy, including test pyramid, coverage targets, and release gates across web applications Build and lead automated test suites for E2E/UI automation and API checks, integrating testing into the CI/CD pipeline Define and evangelize the quality-ownership model, coaching developers on writing testable code and performing exploratory testing Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional QA/test automation experience for modern web applications with demonstrated ownership or lead-level scope Strong experience with Playwright or an equivalent E2E framework Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for building and maintaining automation frameworks and CI integrations Strong understanding of front-end concepts, browser behavior, and back-end concepts like REST APIs Experience with CI/CD and Git-based workflows, such as GitHub Actions
