Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.
- Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to foster effective coping strategies.
- Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices to facilitate understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.
- Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective and responsive care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and healthcare providers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Stay current with the latest research in mood disorders to enhance the efficacy of treatment approaches.
- Maintain precise, confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops.
- Advocate for clients' mental health needs and promote destigmatization to enhance access to resources and support for all mental health concerns.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Horizon Healthcare Solutions, you'll focus on a diverse client population, including individuals facing mood disorders, victims of domestic abuse, refugees, and those experiencing homelessness. Qualifications
- Active and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic environment for clients.
- Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach are essential in working with clients from various backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range between $70,000 and $90,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
