Customer Service Representative I

Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm
No weekends or holidays observed by IU Health
WORK LOCATION
Carmel Hospital - in the professional building
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide patient-facing front desk support, greeting visitors, managing check-ins, verifying information, and ensuring a professional and welcoming experience.
- Responds to patient/customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
- Determines the best method for problem resolution of basic issues, meeting patient/customer needs and organizational guidelines.
- Collaborates with other departments for issue resolutions as necessary.
- Accurately gathers and documents patient/customer information and interactions for database recording and scheduling.
- Processes orders, exchanges, and other service requests.
- Maintains professionalism and a positive attitude in all patient/customer interactions.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Requires the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
