Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating nights, weekends, and holidays | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient acute care for patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions including COPD, CHF, diabetes, sepsis, renal conditions, DKA, alcohol withdrawal, overdoses, pneumonia, and neuro/surgical/cardiac diagnoses
• Manage and monitor patients requiring BiPAP, CPAP, tracheostomies, chest tubes, NG tubes, PICC lines, central lines, and dialysis
• Care for post-ablation and cath lab patients within a 32-bed, all-private-room unit at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3–4 patients per nurse
• Read and interpret telemetry monitoring for assigned patients
• Utilize EPIC EMR for clinical documentation and Pyxis for medication dispensing
• Float to other units as needed, including general medical floors or ICU (based on experience), adapting to the patient assignment and acuity level required for that unit

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry
• Comfort and competency with chest tube management
• Experience in an inpatient acute care setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Extensive ICU experience (may qualify candidate for ICU float assignments)
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Background managing complex patients including those on dialysis or requiring ablation/cath lab post-procedure care
