Job Summary: Capable of proficient operation of all manual tool room / metrology related equipment used in manufacture / repairing of injection molds, injection blow molds and any related equipment to support production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete understanding of shop math related to performance of all machining applications or related duties.
• Capable of interpreting blueprints required in performance of tool room duties, assemble / disassemble, fabricate, fit, repair all injection molding, injection blow molding components.
• Operation of all manual tool room machines with high degree of efficiency. Must be competent with lathe work, milling, drilling, sawing and precision grinding.
• Perform all mold preventive maintenance functions.
• Advise Tool Room Supervisor of any possible delay or quality issues with work related duties.
• Possess good working knowledge of metals relevant to machining and heat-treating.
• Capable of performing all duties and responsibilities associated with lower classifications.
• Capable of training / assisting less experienced employees.
• Actively participate and comply with all West HSE programs and regulations.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work environment in accordance with West 5S program.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or GED Required. Trade or Vocational School preferred.

Work Experience: 2 years' experience in a tool shop and metrology related field is preferred.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrative knowledge of variability, numerical reasoning and computer applications.
• Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Truck.
• Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
• Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
• Able to comply with the company's safety policy at all times.
• Able to comply with the company's quality policy at all times.

Travel Requirements: None: No travel required

Physical Requirements: Light-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects.

Shift: This position is Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
