The ideal candidate will have strong pediatric cardiac sonography experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment. Position Details Position Title: Pediatric Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer Facility Type: Level I Trauma | Teaching Hospital | Children’s Hospital | Short-Term Acute Care Total Staffed Beds: 554 Charting System: Cerner Scrub Color: Maroon/Wine Department Rooms: 3 Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Assignment Length: Minimum 10 weeks OT Policy: Overtime paid after 48 hours (contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025) Required Experience & Skills Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Sonography experience required Must have experience with: Pediatric Echocardiography Outpatient procedures Crash cart usage Scrubbing Aseptic technique Preferred Case Experience General Orthopedics / Ortho-Spine Urology Endoscopic / Laparoscopic Thoracic Neuro / Neuro-Spine Gynecology Ophthalmology Plastics Podiatry ENT Certifications & Licensure Required Certifications ARDMS or CCI BLS Certification Licensure Pending state license accepted Scheduling & Call Weekend requirement: None On-call requirement: None Floating: No Block scheduling: Not guaranteed Traveler Requirements No local candidates within 100 miles First-time travelers accepted RTO greater than 7 days requires approval Facility may call off up to 3 shifts during a 13-week assignment Rehire / Assignment Policy New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks Travelers who complete 4 consecutive assignments or reach 1 year must take a mandatory 6-month break before returning COVID-19 Requirements COVID vaccination required. Religious and medical exemptions accepted with completed exemption documentation. Medical exemptions must be signed by a healthcare provider.
