Road Warrior Staffing is seeking experienced CDL A Drivers to join our team in Auburn, WA. This position is responsible for the safe transportation of both non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials while supporting environmental remediation, waste management, and emergency response operations.

The CDL A Driver will operate a variety of commercial vehicles and equipment, including Roll-Offs, Tankers, Box Vans, Air Movers, and other specialized vehicles. In addition to driving responsibilities, this role may involve hands-on environmental and remediation work, including tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, and high-pressure washing.

This is a safety-focused position requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Work is predominantly local, with occasional out-of-town travel and opportunities for additional OTR assignments.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles safely and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable transportation regulations.
Transport non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials using various vehicle types, including Roll-Offs, Tankers, Box Vans, Air Movers, and other specialized vehicles.
Maintain accurate transportation documentation, including inspection reports, mileage logs, trip reports, manifests, and other required paperwork.
Load and unload different types of waste materials safely and efficiently.
Perform environmental remediation and emergency-response activities as assigned.
Assist with activities such as confined-space work, tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, sweeping, shoveling, and high-pressure washing.
Operate light and heavy equipment, including forklifts, aerial lifts, boom lifts, skid steers, excavators, pressure washers, pumps, and other company equipment.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures.
Perform labor-intensive activities in a variety of weather and environmental conditions.
Work in areas with low clearances, confined spaces, and at heights when required.
Attend mandatory training and complete required certifications and courses.
Ensure all required paperwork is completed, signed, and submitted properly.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.
Travel out of town or overnight as required by service-center and project needs.
Comply with ongoing and random drug testing and required health physicals.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Driver positions do not have a set or fixed schedule. Unless assigned to a long-term project with a consistent schedule, drivers will typically receive their work assignment for the following day the evening before. Candidates should also be prepared to support emergency response operations as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of Class A driving experience.
Current CDL A with a clean driving record.
Current Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
No manual or air-brake restrictions.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER experience/certification preferred.
Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Experience operating multiple vehicle types, such as Roll-Offs, Tankers, Box Vans, and Air Movers, preferred.
Hazmat transportation experience, including placarding and manifesting.
Strong attention to safety procedures and the ability to follow company and client policies.
Ability to read, write, and understand English and follow verbal and written instructions in accordance with DOT guidelines.
Ability to report to the field office within one hour while on call.
Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability and willingness to travel for extended periods, overnight, and on an on-call basis.
Ability to pass required pre-employment physical, drug screen, and alcohol testing.
Ability to pass required pre-employment background checks.
Ability to successfully complete OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training and other mandatory training courses.
Ability to work in adverse conditions, including heat and cold.
Ability to work around dust, chemical and environmental fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, pulling, and pushing heavy objects.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly when required.
Ability to wear required PPE.
Demonstrated accountability, punctuality, and effective communication.
