Responsibilities Build and operate a multi-line insurance agency offering Auto, Home, Life, Commercial, and Specialty products Recruit, hire, train, and lead your own staff of producers and service team members Develop local market strategy through community presence, referral partnerships, and centers of influence Manage your P&L, client experience, and long‑term growth plan Represent the Farmers brand with professionalism and a long‑term service mindset Retail Program (Effective July 2026) The July 2026 Retail Program is one of the strongest new‑agent structures Farmers has offered to date: 36‑month bonus structure designed to support income during the agency build phase Up to 340% monthly bonus on qualifying new business premium Up to $3.5M in total program earning potential (cumulative bonus cap) Full Farmers product suite — Auto, Home, Life, Specialty, Commercial, and Umbrella District 32 support — structured training and one‑on‑one coaching from a dedicated Agency Business Consultant Ideal Candidate Strong candidates typically come from one of the following backgrounds: Current or former small business owners seeking a more scalable model with an established brand Sales leaders or top individual producers ready to transition into ownership Professionals transitioning from finance, real estate, hospitality, military, or corporate operations Disciplined, coachable operators focused on long‑term business building Qualifications $100,000 in liquid capital for the standard Retail Program path (alternative pathways available — see below) Strong credit history and clean background Property & Casualty and Life licenses, or the ability to obtain them in a reasonable timeframe Prior sales, leadership, or business ownership experience preferred Must reside in Central Texas — Waco, Temple, Killeen, Belton, or surrounding communities Alternative Pathways to Ownership Protégé Program — Join an established Farmers agency as a staff producer, complete licensing and structured training, and graduate into your own agency. The standard capital requirement can be reduced or waived for qualifying Protégé graduates. Associate Agent Path — Build production inside an existing agency and transition into ownership under reduced capital requirements. About District 32 A Systems–People–Skill coaching framework applied to each agency's stage of growth Structured training covering the Prime Playbook sales process, Boot Camp product training, and the FORE client rapport framework Regular Agency Performance Reviews with a dedicated Agency Business Consultant A collaborative peer network of Central Texas agency owners A defined Protégé recruiting pipeline to support long‑term agency scaling What to Expect Building a successful agency is a multi-year commitment. The Retail Program is designed to support income during the first three years while owners focus on establishing production, staffing, and operations. Candidates who succeed in this role treat agency ownership as a long‑term business investment rather than a short‑term opportunity. How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to send a brief message outlining their professional background, their reason for considering agency ownership, and their current Central Texas market. Initial conversations are confidential and approximately 30 minutes.
