OVERVIEW
A self-managed homeowners association is hiring an Assistant Community Manager to help run the day-to-day side of a large single-family home community. You’ll work closely with the Property Manager and Board of Trustees, acting as a go-to contact for homeowners while keeping the financial and administrative side of the community running smoothly.

This is a strong fit for someone who already knows HOA operations and wants more ownership over how a community is run.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Handle day-to-day HOA operations and serve as a go-to contact for homeowner questions and concerns
• Manage dues collection and accounts receivable, following up on delinquencies as needed
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports for the Board
• Process architectural committee requests and track approvals
• Coordinate clubhouse scheduling and resident use of community amenities
• Oversee vendor contracts for landscaping, pool maintenance, snow removal, and major repairs
• Support the Property Manager and Board of Trustees on operational decisions and community initiatives
• Respond to resident communications across phone, email, and in person
• Help enforce community rules and architectural guidelines consistently and fairly

WHAT IT TAKES

• 2–4 years of HOA or community association management experience
• Comfortable managing AR, dues collection, and monthly financial reporting
• Experience working with a Board of Trustees or similar governing body
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for resident-facing work
• Organized enough to track vendor contracts, architectural requests, and amenity scheduling all at once
• Working familiarity with landscaping, pool, snow removal, and general property maintenance vendor management
• Professional, even-keeled approach to resident complaints and rule enforcement
• CMCA or similar CAI certification is a plus, not required
