Construction Inspectors - Pennsylvania

Are you ready for the next step in your career? This is where it begins! RE&LS is seeking full-time Construction Inspectors to be part of our growing Pennsylvania Team. Construction Inspectors assist on active roadway and bridge construction projects. This position works independently on less complex construction activities and assists experienced inspectors on complex construction assignments on active roadway and bridge construction projects. This role involves detailed documentation, communication, problem resolution, adherence to safety standards, and maintaining certifications. The individual in this role must be physically capable of performing field inspections and willing to work in various weather conditions, including potential night shifts and varied work schedules. We are looking for all TCIs (1-3) as well as TA (entry level) applicants and Supervisors (TCIS 1 and 2).

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Inspects, observes, and documents construction activities for Transportation and /or Civil projects on a daily basis. Uses various computer software programs and/or IPads to document observations and creates inspection reports. Continuously monitors work of team to ensure timely completion of project. Interacts with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, government agency representatives, and other parties on a regular basis. Communicates information, responds to inquiries, and helps resolve field issues to ensure successful completion of projects. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining required certifications. (Ravi Engineering will pay for these certifications once hired.) Utilizes technical references appropriately for the inspection of structural, concrete, earthwork, building, and mechanical components.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Education: GED or high school diploma required. Degree in Civil Engineering preferred. Experience: minimum of two years of PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, or related transportation construction experience Licensure/Certification: NECEPT bituminous and concrete, ACI, NICET Level 1 or higher in Highway Construction, CDS NextGen, KAHUA Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, or related organizations preferred. Previous Construction Inspection experience preferred. Experience working with CDS NeXtGen and Kahua preferred. Must possess valid driver’s license.

COMPENSATION:
