See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position OverviewAs part of the talented Operations team, you will set up and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety proceduresAt Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.Essential Functions:Reading and interpreting engineering blueprintsMeasuring and marking out placement for componentsSetting up metalwork machinery including cold saw, drill presses, band saw, notcher, belt sander, tape measure and/or calipersDouble-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting workFabricating and constructing metal componentsGrinding and finishing completed productsPerforming quality checks on completed productsConforming with state and company safety regulationsCompleting daily logsAll other duties as assignedDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent, preferredAt least one-year of experience as a Metal Fabricator or manufacturing experiencePreferred Qualifications:Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environmentAbility to follow all training procedures in placeAbility to perform basic math skills (adding, subtracting, fractions, and decimals)Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprintsProficiency with metal fabrication tools, including cold saw, tape measure, band saw, general power tools and drill pressesGood understanding of quality control principlesGood communication skillsExcellent hand-eye coordinationProficiency with metal fabrication tools including cold saw, tape measure, band saw, general power tools and drill pressesGood understanding of quality control principlesGood communication skillsExcellent hand-eye coordination and physical conditionWorking Conditions:While performing duties of the job, incumbent is required to stand for full shift; walk; sit; use hand to finger handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hearEmployee must occasionally lift and/or move up 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusNon-A/C work area; the noise level can periodically be higher than normal, hearing protection may be requiredAbility to lift and manipulate large metal piecesAbility to stand for long periodsThe anticipated pay range for this position is $18-$23, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
