Travel Echo Tech: Cardiac Sonographer at Level 1 Trauma
American Traveler
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with Epic experience and ARDMS or CCI registration for a role at a large Level 1 Trauma hospital.
Requirements
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only, ARC not accepted)
- Must be registered through ARDMS or CCI
- License required if applicable
- Active NJ license required (pending license not accepted)
- Experience working at a large Level 1 Trauma hospital required
- Demonstrates full knowledge of cardiac ultrasound and digital ultrasound equipment usage
- Ability to prepare patients and explain procedures
- Ability to navigate an electronic medical record
Responsibilities
- Performs cardiac ultrasound tests including stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms
- Large Level 1 Trauma hospital setting
- Schedule is Monday through Friday with rotational weekends, 10-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- On-call rotation required for weekends and holidays
- Epic EMR experience required
- Performs testing in accordance with American Society of Echocardiography and ICAEL standards
- Completes daily scheduled tests within appropriate time frames for population-specific groups
- COVID-19 vaccination plus one booster required (religious exemptions accepted)
- Candidates residing in NJ are considered local
