Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cardiac/CVICU experience required. License: MO or compact state license required. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required. Must-Have: - Cardiac/CVICU ICU experience including ICU, ventilator management, arterial line management, pulmonary artery catheter management, pacemakers, impellas, balloon pumps, LVADs. - Experience with acute heart failure, CHF exacerbation, fluid overload, post cardiac arrest, complete heart block, cardiogenic shock, pre-heart transplant, arrhythmias, and ventricular tachycardia. - Proficiency in vasoactive drips, central lines, PA/TVP catheter monitoring, dialysis management, and surgical procedures related to cardiac care. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The role requires high acuity CCU experience in a fast-paced setting. Candidates should have a strong background in cardiac critical care and related procedures. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:2. Every other weekend is required, and the clinician may need to float within the service line as needed. Locals are not accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility. Two requests for time off will be allowed, but total requests cannot exceed 40 hours during the contract. Travelers must possess skills in managing various cardiovascular devices and interventions. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to evaluate and manage patients with complex cardiac conditions. All candidates must comply with required assessments and certifications before the commencement of the contract.
