About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years with at least 1 year of direct Medical-Surgical experience. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS, ACLS preferred. Must-Have: Experience in IV start, telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in a cancellation. The unit will not accept first-time travelers; applicants must have at least 2 successful contracts. Local candidates are accepted. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:6. The unit primarily cares for stroke patients and may include neurosurgery patients and other neuro diagnoses. Special procedures include a 4-bed epilepsy monitoring unit, with training provided for nurses assigned to this area. Daily census is approximately 42 patients. Frequent floating may be required to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry areas. Travelers are required to work every other weekend and will need to make up missed weekend shifts. All travelers must pass EKG testing prior to the start date. The staffing and scheduling approach may be modified based on unit needs. All required skills and experience must be validated before confirmation.
