Maintenance Technician 2

The Maintenance Technician 2 will be responsible for building maintenance and a range of basic repairs. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting and maintaining small tools and equipment. Shift hours: 3:30 PM to 2 AM Monday-Thursday.

Core functions include utilizing advanced knowledge in diagnosing and repairing complex machines, collaborating with engineering to resolve maintenance issues, managing the CMMS system, assisting with inventory, mentoring maintenance technician I employees, and rebuilding machines, tools, and heavy equipment.

Qualifications and requirements include a high school diploma or GED, previous forklift experience, 3 years of working with mechanical systems, tools, or machines, and completion of related technical training program, certificate, degree, or journeyman apprenticeship preferred.

Competencies include adapting to changes in the work environment, following instructions, identifying and resolving problems, observing safety and security procedures, assessing own strengths and weaknesses, speaking clearly and persuasively, and writing clearly and informatively.

Physical requirements include exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical activities include climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, crawling, and repetitive motions. Visual acuity is required to perform mechanical or skilled trades' tasks.

Working conditions include inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
