House Supervisor

This role involves approximately 12 hours per week working as a house supervisor and 24 hours per week as a transfer center coordinator. As a House Supervisor, the individual is a competent registered nurse who assumes responsibility for coordination and direction of activities on the nursing units and other departments in the absence of Nurse Managers and Administration. The House Supervisor represents nursing leadership by exhibiting professional behavior. The supervisor supervises staff providing general nursing care. They work independently while also functioning as a team member. The individual provides high-quality nursing services to a variety of customers, including patients, employees, administration, management, physicians, and visitors. Maintaining current knowledge of regulatory standards and evidence-based practices is essential, ensuring compliance at all times. As a Transfer Center Coordinator, the individual facilitates the efficient transfer of patients between facilities. This Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating the safe, timely, and efficient transfer of patients into, out of, and within the healthcare system. The Transfer Center Coordinator serves as a central point of communication between referring facilities, physicians, nursing leadership, bed management, and ancillary departments. They ensure appropriate placement of patients based on clinical needs, bed availability, and organizational capabilities. The role also ensures compliance with regulations and maintains detailed records for quality assurance. Responsibilities include coordinating communication between transferring and receiving medical staff. The coordinator arranges required transportation and accommodations for patient transfers. Maintaining detailed records of all transfer activities for quality assurance is crucial. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.
