Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg - $2,110 per week

Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Job Description & Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report any changes to the physician and healthcare team.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments as prescribed.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Develop, update, and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise support staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital policies and nursing standards.

Requirements

• Active RN License (NM or Compact)
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Ability to work independently in an acute care setting
• Experience with EMR documentation systems preferred
