Key Qualifications Active Washington SPED license and ESA certificate (verification required at the time of application) A minimum of 5 years’ experience in special education, preferably within school settings Demonstrated expertise with transition-age students (ages 18-22) and preparing them for greater independence Strong collaborative skills and the ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs Excellent communication abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Primary Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting life skills and vocational training for transition-age students Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment, encouraging student confidence and independence Collaborate with families, related services, and other educators to design meaningful transition experiences Assess student progress, provide targeted interventions, and adjust instructional strategies as needed Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all state and district requirements Compensation for this position ranges from $33.71 to $53.71.
