Our client, an industry leader in applied AI, has an excellent opportunity for a Network Support Engineer to work on a 1-2/month opportunity. Work will be on-site in Austin, TX, Washington, DC, or New York, NY. The Network Support Engineer will maintain reliable wired and wireless network connectivity, troubleshoot end-user network issues, and support office infrastructure initiatives. The role requires hands-on execution, experience with enterprise Wi-Fi, and strong network operations proficiency.

Rate: $35.00 to $55.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support for wired and wireless network infrastructure across office locations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Wi-Fi connectivity, performance, roaming, and device authentication issues.
• Monitor network health and proactively identify potential issues impacting users.
• Support network equipment installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve wireless connectivity issues involving access points, RF interference, bandwidth utilization, and client performance.
• Analyze wireless coverage and performance metrics to ensure a reliable user experience.
• Assist with wireless network optimization and tuning.
• Support ongoing office moves, expansions, workstation deployments, and network provisioning.
• Capture user feedback, translate into improvements, and communicate findings to HQ.
• Coordinate with facilities, vendors, and IT teams to resolve connectivity issues.
• Assist with network documentation, inventory management, and asset tracking.
• Respond to and resolve employee network-related issues in a timely manner.
• Escalate complex issues when necessary while maintaining ownership through resolution.
• Document root causes and contribute to process improvements and runbooks.

Experience Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on network support or network engineering experience.
• Strong experience troubleshooting enterprise wired and wireless networks.
• Experience administering and supporting Cisco Meraki, Unifi, and Aruba HPE networking environments.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, switching and routing, and VPN connectivity.
• Experience supporting office-based IT environments with onsite users.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience with Meraki Wireless and HPE solutions.
• Preferred: Experience supporting high-growth or startup environments.
• Preferred: Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Preferred: Certifications such as CCNA, Meraki, or Aruba.
• Key must-haves: Enterprise Wi-Fi troubleshooting, Cisco Meraki experience, onsite support experience, strong networking fundamentals.
• Nice-to-have: Aruba Wireless experience, startup or hyper-growth environment experience.
