Policy, Governance & Compliance Analyst (Analyst II) Department of Public Health, California Classification: Analyst II Salary Range: $6,031.00 – $7,547.00 per month (minimums apply for new-to-state candidates). The position is subject to the Personal Leave Program 2025, which may reduce base pay by up to 3% in exchange for paid leave credits. Responsibilities Support the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by independently performing a full range of complex, journey-level assignments that require analytical, technical, and effective written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities include audits, accreditation, competitive contracts, and procurement oversight; ensuring regulatory compliance within all Section and Program parameters; advising department officials and employees; preparing reports and making recommendations on procedures, policies, and program alternatives. The incumbent works under the direction of the Chief of the Policy, Governance and Compliance Unit (PGCU). Up to 3% travel may be required. Working Conditions The position may be eligible for telework, subject to department discretion and the CDPH Telework Program. Telework employees must be California residents. Travel may be required; reimbursement is based on the employee’s designated headquarters and is subject to applicable regulations. All commute expenses to the designated headquarters office are the responsibility of the employee. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with a degree of independence. Maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Can provide technical advice and consultative services to various levels of staff. Knowledge or experience with the contracting and procurement processes.
