About the Position

Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of current acute care experience License: Active Kansas licensure required Certifications: BLS required Description: Travel opportunity for Occupational Therapist. Every other weekend work is required. Unit consists of 41 beds with a staff estimate of 15-20 therapy staff daily across various disciplines. The type of staff includes day shift needing 1 Occupational Therapist; current staff includes several Occupational Therapists and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Patient ratios allow for carrying up to a 6-hour treatment load within an 8-hour shift. Knowledge of equipment such as E-Stim, patient lifts, and ADL/IADL equipment is required. Electronic Medical Record System utilized is Meditech. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of current acute care experience. Experience in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting and additional certifications such as lymphedema or neuro are preferred. Typical procedures performed include evaluation and treatment for ADLs and IADLs. Ideal candidates should be team players with flexible hours for treatment start/stop times and weekends rotating. Clinicians are responsible for tracking time and charges to ensure patients meet their therapy requirements. New facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology and features a full IADL kitchen.
