Job Title: Custodial Crew Lead

Location: 5100 Tice Street (Fort Myers, FL)

Employment Type: Full-Time / Hourly / Schedule: 4pm-2:30am

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a Custodial Crew Lead to oversee pressure washing operations and lead a crew in the delivery of high-quality services. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining pressure washing equipment and vehicles, coordinating job site activities, transporting equipment and personnel, supervising crew members, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise pressure washing crews by organizing daily work assignments, monitoring job progress, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring all required training is completed.

• Operate, maintain, inspect, lubricate, test, and repair pressure washing equipment, accessories, vehicles, and trailers, while maintaining accurate maintenance and repair records.

• Order parts, obtain repair estimates when needed, and ensure adequate inventories of spare parts, supplies, and equipment are available prior to mobilizing to job sites.

• Transport personnel, equipment, and supplies to and from job locations, load and unload trucks and trailers, and safely operate company vehicles while towing trailers.

• Perform pressure washing services on contracted surfaces and ensure all work meets quality standards and customer expectations.

• Inspect completed work before leaving job sites, communicate with customers regarding service expectations and results, and address any service-related concerns.

• Coordinate pressure washing routes, logistics, scheduling, timesheets, equipment monitoring, and daily operational activities.

• Maintain job records, complete forms and log sheets, and prepare reports regarding job status and billing.

• Promote pressure washing and janitorial services to businesses and commercial customers and forward potential leads to the Contract Services Manager or Director of Facilities.

• Follow all safety policies, operating procedures, and company policies, and provide recommendations for process improvements.

• Perform custodial duties and other related duties as assigned.

• Maintain regular attendance and work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.

• Two years of verifiable cleaning or pressure washing experience preferred.

• Experience driving a pickup truck while towing a trailer.

• Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals and pressurized liquids.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to organize work for a crew and oversee job progress.

• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

• Ability to safely operate a pickup truck while towing and backing a trailer.

• Ability to walk, kneel, climb, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, and perform other physical activities required for the position.

• Ability to perform manual labor involving heavy equipment, hoses, and pressure washing equipment.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally move equipment and supplies weighing up to 100 pounds.

• Ability to work in environments involving exposure to pressurized water, chemicals, loud noise, and outdoor weather conditions.
