Only applicants in the greater Memphis, TN area will be considered.We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Energy Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll lead the installation of energy-efficiency upgrades that help homeowners reduce energy usage and lower utility costs. You’ll work across a designated territory using a company-provided vehicle, supporting utility and weatherization programs while delivering high-quality service to customers.What You’ll DoInstall a variety of energy-saving measures, including attic insulation (batts and blown), air sealing (caulking), LED lighting, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats, and electric water heatersPerform minor repairs on windows, doors, and other household componentsLoad and unload materials, tools, and equipment from work vehiclesEnsure all installations meet program standards and quality guidelinesDiagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in accordance with utility specificationsComplete required documentation, reporting, and status updates dailyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all timesSupport job site setup and breakdown at customer homesConduct combustion appliance testing to verify safe and proper operationWhat Makes You a Great Fit1–3 years of experience in residential construction, field service, in-home customer service, or installation workBasic plumbing and/or electrical experience requiredHigh school diploma or GED requiredBPI certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 3–6 months (company-sponsored)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently while also leading and supporting a teamPhysical RequirementsComfortable working in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and coldAbility to stand, walk, or sit for extended periodsFrequently crawl, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, and reach—often in tight spaces such as crawl spaces or under mobile homesRegular use of hand and power tools with repetitive motionAbility to safely use ladders (up to three stories)Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds as neededTarget Compensation$27–$30 / hour, based on experience and qualificationsThis is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record.
