Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Burn ICU (PCU) position in Nashville, TN, requiring at least 2 years of experience and active BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications.

Details

• 12-bed Burn ICU unit at a hospital in Nashville, TN
• ICU patient ratio of 2:1; med/surg and PCU patients at 4:1
• Equipment used includes ventilators, specialty beds, and occasional CRRT
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Minimum of 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Travelers float first per unit floating policy

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for this unit
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in the specialty
• Med/surg background required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Unit is staffed with a Charge RN, RNs, and PCTs
• Navy scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Provide specialized nursing care to burn ICU patients, including those on ventilators and specialty beds
