Overview ER Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Start date September 7, 2026 for 18 contract weeks. Weekly pay range $2,261–$2,363 per week with guaranteed hours of 48 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Travel assignment in a hospital setting. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,261–$2,363 per week Guaranteed hours: 48 per week Contract duration: 18 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) Start date: September 7, 2026 Setting: Busy ED within a hospital Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to ED patients across a high-volume environment, prioritizing safety and comfort. Perform triage, initial assessment, continuous monitoring, and frequent re- assessment of patient status. Read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips; identify heart blocks and other rhythm abnormalities; complete Telemetry Test on Day 1 with 85% or higher. Administer medications and IV therapies per protocols; assist with procedures and manage patient responses. Document accurately in the electronic medical record and coordinate with the ED team for timely patient flow and disposition. Maintain patient safety, advocate for patients and families, and collaborate with physicians, respiratory, and ancillary staff. Be prepared to float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED areas (caring for patients age 15+ when assigned). Requirements Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience and/or 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 ED experience. Must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 (85%+). Active certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be active/unexpired. Willingness to float to Psych ED and Pediatric ED areas (patients age 15+). Comfortable working in a very busy ED with high patient volumes and a 1:4–5 patient ratio depending on acuity. Ability to work 12- hour night shifts and participate in a rotating schedule as needed.
