Telehealth Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

As a WellNow Provider, you will be part of a team that is dedicated to improving the delivery of quality healthcare to our Virtual Urgent Care patients while being part of a medical community in which you are supported in your growth as a medical professional.As a reflection of our continued growth, we are seeking a full-time, seasonal, Telehealth provider that is licensed in New York for WellNow Virtual Care!Onboarding will occur in October, and telehealth coverage will last from November 1 - March 31.**Salary:*** Qualified NP/PA hourly rate is $60/hour**As an NP or PA, you'll succeed by:**Outstanding Patient Care and Medical Knowledge* Assesses patient needs within a telemedicine care setting* Appropriately triages patients to differentiate the patient needs* Evaluates patients in a timely manner, putting patient care above clerical duties* Performs a thorough history and physical exam on each patient* Creates an individualized, evidence-based plan of care* Appropriately consults the on-call WellNow physician and on-call radiologist* Effectively manages payers across the spectrum of services provided at a site* Follows evidence-based standards for ordering laboratory, radiology and other diagnostic studies* Uses evidence-based resources for treatment options* Orders and prescribes appropriate medications* Appropriately consults and refers to primary care and specialty physicians* Performs procedures appropriate type of services provided at the standard of care* Educates patients regarding the disease process and discharge plan* Maintains patient confidentialityContinuous Practice-Based Learning* Completes CME requirements for specialty* Attends peer review and education update meetings* Serves as a resource in educating other staff membersSuperior Interpersonal and Communication Skills* Treats every patient professionally and compassionately* Communicates with clinical staff regarding patient condition and plan of care* Does not discuss details of business with patients* Does not label patients* Takes concerns to management instead of discussing with staffProfessionalism* Arrives to work on time* Adheres to the dress code described in the Employee Handbook* Limits personal conversations with staff* Continues to see patients during scheduled timeAttention to System-Based Practice* Maintains patient records for clinic use, medical record use, and billing use* Completes charts within 3 days of shift* Ensures all diagnostic tests that are not complete at the time of care are reviewed and appropriately followed-up* Attends meetings* Participates in special projects as they arise**Minimum Qualifications:*** 1+ years of emergency medicine/urgent care experience, telemedicine experience, or family practice experience, which includes the ability to manage adult and pediatric patients.* Ideal candidate will have experience working in both a fast track and main emergency department setting* Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills* Ability to work well independently evaluating and managing patients, and serve as a leader of a team* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.* Friendly and customer service oriented.* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.**Education:*** Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program or an accredited university.**Required License or Certification:*** Provider must be willing to obtain multiple state licenses as directed by WellNow* Provider must have NY state license at time of employmentWellNow is an EOE.WellNow, is part of TAG-The Aspen Group's family of healthcare brands. #J-18808-Ljbffr WellNow Urgent Care
