Trader - Vice President

Position Vice President – Trader, New York, NY Overview This role sits with the Global Emerging Markets (GEM) financing franchise focused on originating, structuring and risk managing private credit transactions for corporates in the region. The trader will manage the credit underwriting and due diligence process for new financings, work on structuring and documentation, and collaborate in the syndication of transactions. The role requires proficiency in credit analysis, modeling, credit documentation, and credit and legal due diligence across diverse sectors and jurisdictions, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. What You’ll Do Run the internal credit underwriting and approval process on new deals. Manage the due diligence process with clients and third parties. Collaborate on defining the optimal structure, pricing and distribution strategy for new transactions. Negotiate credit documentation with clients and legal counsel. Conduct ongoing risk management and monitoring of existing portfolio positions. How You’ll Lead Client interaction in high‑profile transactions with leading corporates in the region. Proactive and independent management of the internal deal approval process with Credit, Legal and Compliance functions. Lead the effort with the syndication team on distribution with international and regional banks, EM credit investors and other credit market participants. Skills You’ll Need Credit analysis and corporate finance proficiency. Structuring and documentation competence. Cash flow modeling skills. Due diligence expertise. Experience negotiating credit structures and terms with clients. Skills That Will Help You Excel Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken (English and Spanish or Portuguese). Expectations Employees hired into this role are expected to work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model. Salary The salary range for this position in New York City is $187.5 K to $307.5 K. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications and location.
