Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing care to patients with a range of common diagnoses, including abdominal pain, diabetes mellitus, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension. The RN will work within a Trauma Level 3 setting and be part of a team that treats an average of 63 patients per day.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in the ER with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 based on acuity.
• Administer and manage standard ER medications and assessments.
• Work with RT on breathing treatments and Point of Care lab testing.
• Float within Zone 5 if needed.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips as required.

Requirements:

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications.
• 2 years of ED experience.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
